Welcome to The Adirondack Park you are a valued traveler! This monumental Park consists of over 6 million acres of protected and preserved lands. These vast holdings are home to a wide variety of fish species, migratory and “at home” birds and waterfowl. If you look closely depending on the time of the year you may just see a deer-mother with her fawn or a velvet coated black bear, a fast moving fox or another fleet footed animal….. all safely from the confines of your car we hope!
You will be traveling amongst quaint villages and towns, acres upon acres of pristine forests, foothills and mighty mountains. Bet you can't miss taking a snapshot during a stop at one of our 3000 lakes! Our Hamlet of Long Lake is blessed with one of the premier lakes in the park and is known as “Long Lake”. It is fourteen miles long and is continuously fed by the Raquette River, just right for all kinds of fishing and watercraft fun.
We will be looking forward to your visiting with us here in The Park. During your visit we will be happy to point out some “hidey-hole” spots that only those of us who live here year round know about and are happy to share with you,
Welcome!
Come for a visit soon and often……
